About Nicola
Nicola has worked as a Homeopath since qualifying in 2006, after completing a four year licentiate in homeopathy at the Centre for Homeopathic Education. Since then she has undertaken the Orion advanced practitioner training, the Foresight programme in fertility and preconceptual care and other professional development courses.
“Apart from using Arnica as a child for bumps and bruises, my own experience of homeopathy began when I was diagnosed with asthma in my twenties. I was prescribed inhalers as a lifelong solution, but wanted to find a more natural, drug-free alternative. After a course of homeopathic treatment over several months, I am delighted to report that I have remained symptom-free and inhaler-free to this day. This experience inspired me to study homeopathy and set up my own practice to help others in the same way that I had been helped.”
In the early days Nicola treated a lot of children with recurrent infections, eczema, constipation and behavioural issues, as well as pregnant women in need of non-toxic remedies for nausea, heartburn and other ailments. She has treated people suffering from a wide range of complaints including IBS, infertility, menopause/perimenopause, depression, chronic fatigue, joint pain and allergies. Her experience with teenagers has been mainly with emotional issues, anxiety, acne and menstrual disorders.
Nicola has a special interest in women's health, with a focus on hormone balance, menstrual regulation, fertility, perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy and postnatal wellbeing.
Clinics are held in Bricket Wood, Hertfordshire where Nicola sees patients from St Albans, Watford, Radlett, Borehamwood and the surrounding areas. She also offers video consultations for those further afield and home visits can be arranged locally.

About Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a complete system of natural medicine that encourages the body to heal itself from within. It is based on an understanding of the connection between mind and body, and it treats the underlying cause of illness as well as the symptoms. It can lead to better sleep and more energy, as well as boosting the immune system and improving a person’s ability to cope with stress. Homeopathic remedies are natural, non-toxic and non-addictive. They are safe for all ages, as well as in pregnancy.
Homeopathy works on the principle of 'like cures like', i.e. that a disease can be treated with a dilute form of a substance which, in its natural state, is capable of producing symptoms similar to that disease. For example, one of the remedies used today to treat sleep problems is made from coffee which, in its natural state, could stop someone falling asleep. This principle was harnessed and developed into a system of medicine by the founder of homeopathy, German doctor Samuel Hahnemann, over 200 years ago.
Homeopathy recognises that people are individuals and everyone produces different symptoms in illness. For example, one person with a cold may have thick green mucous that is worse when inside and someone else may have a clear, watery discharge that is worse when going outside. Therefore, remedies are selected on an individual basis according to the person's symptoms.
Many people take homeopathic remedies alongside prescribed medication. An individual must consult their doctor before withdrawing any medication and never suddenly stop taking medication without ensuring it is safe to do so.
